banned from the Olympics

Normally, I am a very NONcompetitive,
it's-just-a-game, it's-the process-and-
not-the-product, kind of person.

The Olympics, despite the whole "bringing
the world together" business, apparently
brings out the worst in me.

"EAT THAT, Netherland!"

"Mom, what do you have against the Netherlands?"

"Nothing in particular, it's just who we're
against right now. IN YOUR FACE!"

"You're scaring me."

"Whatever. If you can't stand the heat, get
off the field. YES! USA!"

"That's it. (click of TV turning off)
You're banned from the Olympics."

From this, I have learned two important things:
1. I will never be an Olympics good will ambassador.

2. Always keep possession of the remote control.

Isnt that so true, I actually caught myself yelling at the screen for Phelps to "beat that Jap!" I was so appalled I turned it off too.

oh my gosh, the Olympics makes us evil! what is up with that???

glad i'm not the only one . . .

"when the whole world comes together" my big toe, we know why they've come together--to beat the pants off each other!!!
;)
umm, actually, it was the cool-headed daughter that turned it off. i then took the gold in wrestling for the remote.

The Olympics are one of the few things I miss about not having a TV. For more info no the "conviences" we choose to live without, check out my post... http://suzyqsparkle.blogspot.com/2008/03/technology-overkill.html

I've been taping the Olympics and watching them when I go to bed. DH has been long asleep when I start watching. I'll be biting my nails watching our gymnasts and swimmers and when they win, I'm silently hopping around in bed, waking DH. lol
