on the Orient Express--all aboard in London . . .

Altered Pages is partnering with Just For Fun Stamps this month, and their Passport Stamp Background is a great addition to another layout in this Orient Express altered book:
Just a peek here, but let me add a special thank you to Bev at Gott Heart Art.  Several years ago, we were in a swap together, and she sent me the bookmark that I've featured in the London layout.  Thank you, Bev!  You can see the entire layout HERE at the Altered Pages Artsociates blog.

Happy Thursday!  :)

a sentimental atc?

I made this frame atc with acrylic paint monoprint backgrounds, adding
stamps from the Behind the Scenes plate for extra dimension.
sentiment from the Relish Reading plate
But why stop there?  At Unruly Paper Arts, the current issue is:
ATC Extravaganza!

AND one of the atc themed Reader's Art Quests is "Add An ATC."
Meaning, add an atc to something.  I'll bet you can guess where this
particular atc ended up . . .

Yep, on the front of a an altered blank book!
It's covered in handmade paper, can you tell from the texture?
Anyway, there is plenty of time to join in the RRD Rebel
Challenge, and the Reader's Art Quest at UPA, as well.
But why stop there?  Here a few more fun challenges:

springtime page, what's on your workdesk wednesday #151

This is what's on my workdesk this Wednesday, no editing, to tidying for you, just straight up here it is!
And a little bit bigger view.
And a peek at one of the pages in the book I was starting to work on last week.  The cover is in my post from yesterday, just scroll down a bit if you'd like to see.

I don't speak French, but I do know how to work Google Translate.  However, I've sometimes the translations are a bit odd, so tell me, if you know, does this REALLY say, "She loved Paris in springtime."  Cath, if you're out there, let me know . . .  :)

the Christmas book is finally finished . . .

Lots of pictures. Lots of grandchildren. Click
on the book to check out the "album." The
only thing is, a lot of the pages have a lovely
iridescent quality in real life, due to using
Twinkling H2Os. Unfortunately, that doesn't
read in the pics. Just imagine the glistening
goodness . . .

All My Grandchildren

I hope the in-laws like it . . . by the way,
they're All My Children watchers for
forever, so thus the title . . .

Altered Book Club Offering

So I joined an altered book club, and it's been great for making me
go make something. I mean really, if you've committed to having
someone else's pages done, it would be pretty bad to just show up
and say, "Oops, sorry! Didn't bother to even open your book . . ."

So here's my latest artistic endeavor. The theme is supposed to be
"Home or Insanity." So of course, I switch it around--not on purpose,
I just glued the dictionary pages on the wrong sides! So the insanity
side features a vellum pocket sewn on, tags bearing proverbs stapled
with red rick-rack, and some crazy looking broads. Two have literally
lost their heads. The "Home" side is supposed to appear more peaceful,
and has a door to open, revealing a collage in the style of Claudine
Hellmuth. Yep, been reading her books, couldn't help myself!

Remember, you choose . . .
