Just Glue It, Day 17: gel plate monoprint heart, plus a Valentine

Finished the layout using the strip background, used part of a monoprint to make the heart.
I added some Wink of Stella, plus metallic crayon.
Another one of my vintage stamp sets, these are from the late 1940s.  They're from a set designed to be used in the classroom, and come with some great line art stamps as well.

Also using my stash of monoprints to make a few Valentines.  You can find more on this today at the Altered Pages blog.  Deli paper = still my favorite paper to monoprint on!

Some challenge inspiration:
Word Art Wednesday--anything with an uplifting sentiment
The House that Stamps Built--anything but a card
Retro Rubber CafĂ©--Cross My Heart, must use older stamps  (late 1940s teaching stamps)

Day 17 produced some very pretty art!
LOVE the journal pages, and of course" to the moon and back" is one of my favorite sayings.

I love your pages . . . I started an alter book and for three years it has been on the shelf. I think I need to get it down and finish it up or at least add to it. You are a wonderful inspiration, thanks :)

Hello Trisha: WOW!! I've never, ever seen a project like this, I went back to check the other pages and I was amazed by the beautiful designs and details of each. The project you shared with us at RETRO RUBBER is beautiful, I love the sentiment and the background you created with the strips of print.
Thank you so much for joining us at RETRO RUBBER, the stamps you used are truly vintage and beautiful.
Hope you join us again next time.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
