now, and then, and now . . .

This tiny 2 1/2 by 2 1/2-ish square book was created as the
first in a series of small, simple, hand made books, each
containing a classic proverb or saying.

The textured black cardstock cover contains repurposed
ephemera from Vintage Page Designs, the alphabet is
vintage, and the images are from the Sewing and Notions
sets, both available at Blockheads.
You may have noticed the Altered Arts Magazine link in
my sidebar. I am very pleased to "officially" say thank
you for the opportunity to be a part of the Altered Arts
Design Team. I've always been partial to Altered Arts
probably because they were the first publication I ever
submitted anything to, and they accepted it, plus my next
piece, too, and a few more after that . . .
Here is a pic of the pieces in my first official "publishing,"
back in 2009 :
Serendipity, images from Altered Pages
Available as a kit HERE.
Thank you again, Altered Arts, for the the then, and the now!

P.S.--Brenda has some lovely things in her Tuesday Treasures,
so I joined in there!

I love your little books. I have a little bookcase for my tiny books so I found what you did very inspiring. My mother was the guru of these old sayings and I have often thought of doing a book with such sayings myself.
Thanks for sharing. Love your book.

Trisha I love the book and the idea!! How cool! I was thinking about the monthly projects and thought I would make 1 fat book page per month! WHat a cool book it will be after 24 months!! I think it will have to be a series too. So that is awesome!!
And, I have the same story with Altered Arts Mag! They were the first to publish me!! And again and again! If you look at my left side bar I have the 3 covers, each goes to a page with my project.
Awesome visit!!
