new goodies, mail art--What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #216

(WOYWWers, I put in the wrong link
for week 218--
find that desk HERE!)

I am in the midst of a serious art room clean out.  So why then is there a
new stash of goodies on my desk?

Well, it was all on sale.  That's my only defense.  The pompoms and colored lace
in the middle, bought that at an Amish fabric store in Jamesport, MO (largest
colony of Amish west of the Mississippi River.)

The mail art is from Krisha--THANK YOU, Krisha!  I've said this before, and
I'm gonna say it again--that stamp right there in the middle, every time I see it,
it makes me think "Downton Abbey."

Do you see it?

Thank you Julia for hosting yet another What's on Your Workdesk, Wednesday.
I think I visited everyone who dropped in last week--if not, I plan on at least
stopping by to say hi to all my bloggy friends from last week, and anyone who
comes by this week, as well.  Sometimes I can't find links for google plus people?
What's up with that?

Happy WOYWW!

:)

The card is beautiful. I too am guilty, for I can not resist a good sale either. I have the same exact red trim, and I have the same exact bluish/green pom-pom trim. (which I have in like 4 different colors). I bought mine at Donna Downey's studio. I love shopping there. Who am I kidding, I love shopping for art/craft supplies anywhere. Oh, BTW… you got a shout out in my post for WOYWW. :D Yup you sure did!!! Have fun with all your new goodies. (((HUGS)))

How interesting your blog always is, Trisha! I am so fascinated by the Amish - how lovely to have something made by them! It is so hot and humid here in the UK and we're just not used to it, but what we are into is Downton Abbey and - yes - I agree that stamp really evokes that drama! Have a lovely WOYWW. Some other people seem to be having issues with Google Plus too; wonder what's going on? Julie Ann #17

I think there's a law that says money MUST be spent at sales ;)

It's a law of nature, I reckon, that things just fall into your trolley when they are on sale!
I can never find a way of commenting on google+ either! Must be a fault there, certainly can't be us, now can it?
Have a great week.

I'm on a clear out too, have a box with stamps that I haven't used for a while or don't like anymore plus some bits and bobs. If I don't use them this year then they are OUT! Saw an online sale at the weekend....added tons to my wishlist, sighed and hit that delete button! Gotta put food on the table first...so hubby says!!! Enjoy your new goodies! #87

I don't understand the google+ thing either, it doesn't make any sense to me. If clicking takes me there I have to go back to Julia's list to find them. Anyhow, loving your new stash. Am a complete sucker for a bargain myself and can never walk past the 'sale'box at my local store without having a rummage. Happy WOYWW Cindy #36

Mmm, nice pom poms Mrs! I buy that stuff whenever I see it, so a sale would be cause an overflow in my ribbon jar! Seen your name on two or three blogs this WOYWW as a source of inspiration for the writers - thank you for that - WOYWW is the richer for it!

That is funny that we both talked about those pesky sale racks, Trisha! And lots of people are talking about major cleans. I thought a lot of folks did that in spring, so this must be all of us who didn't get the spring cleaning bug until now! Great mail art from Krishna (yes, I see it) and wonderful goodies from the Amish store! Happy WOYWW and have a wonderful week! Thanks for the visit to me! Darnell #12

The (bears) dictionary definition of sale - You must buy it by law, either that or face prison, I mean, who would want to flout the law?
