What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #178

Oh good grief it's been a whole week again.  Sometimes, if it
weren't for Julia and WOYWW, I wouldn't get a post in!

Not much to show this week that I made myself--just a tiny peek at a
piece getting ready to go out for (possible) publication:

HOWEVER, here are the fantastic atcs I received back
in an Edgar Allan Poe Gothic Arch swap--a huge
THANK YOU to:
Wendy Robinson., Suzanne C, and Wendy Aspinall

Martina Fuchs, Jan Larson, and April Dudko

Aren't they amazing?!?

So you probably know the woyww deal--if you leave a
comment, you know I'm too nosey to miss a chance to stop
by and see what's on YOUR workdesk!  It may not be
today, but it will be soon, okay? See you then, and
have a Happy Halloween!  :)

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #177

Notta lot.

The living room work table has been cleaned off and sent to the barn,
in preparation for painting (the walls) and new carpet, so I'm back in
the actual art room.

Things have kind of landed here and there . . .
The "cheese" box is a leftover from the Halloween and trinket box
projects, the paper pads and stamps from a piece for an article for
next month's Unruly Paper Arts, and the painty brayers are for
monoprinting.

Here's a little peek at the UPA project:
 but I can't show the rest for a few more weeks . . .

Will be coming around for a visit to all who stop by this week, and
last week's WOYWWers who left comments, too.

What's on YOUR workdesk?

a set of three atcs

Here is a set
of three atcs,
all using
backgrounds
made
from Gelli Plate
prints.

(Gelli Plate printing is,
in fact, addictive--they
should come with a
warning label!)

The images are stamped
on papers colored with watercolor washes, using
images from the Grunge Collages  set.

Isn't that a sweet stamp?
These are going out for
a blissfulART atc swap.

Got that autumn theme going on,
but with non traditional colors . . .
what do you think?  Too bright?
I have to add
crayon around the
edges, don't you
know!  And tulle,
almost always
some of that, too.

The German scrap
and bling, those
are bonuses . . .

Have a great
Sunday, everyone!

Some challenges? Well sure:
Challenges 4 Everybody:   Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations Paint:  Anything Goes
Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog  Autumn Breeze (the center ATC with the leaf)
Scrappy Frogs:  Fall or Halloween (the center ATC with the fall leaf)
The Hybrid Chick:  Fall/Autumn  (you guessed it!)

Altered Pages image.  You can

HERE.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #176

Well, I was gone again last week, this time on business in Nashville, TN,
and then for a few days of goofing off with the husband in Branson, MO.

Here's what's on my workdesk right now--part of a tag for Rogue Redhead
Designs (don't worry, Shar, I'll have it ready for tomorrow):

I need to add some dots to it, since the challenge this round is going dotty . . .
and I have to say, that pretty much describes me today!

By the way, on our way to Branson, we stopped at the Laura Ingalls Wilder
Museum and home.  Are you familiar with Laura?  Little House on the Prairie
and all?  Some of my favorite childhood books.  There were lots of things in
the museum that were in her books, so it was very exciting--yes, I was so
excited I cried!  Here are a couple pics of the outside:

That's it, gotta go to viola lesson, and I haven't practiced for over a week, don't
tell.  Will be around to WOYWW visit this evening--see you then!
(If you've never WOYWWed, just click the link to see what Julia hosts each week.)

P.S.--the finished tag is now up HERE.

can you guess what this is?

Can you tell what this is?

Well, now it's a trinket box, but it started life as a Laughing
Cow box--those little wedges of cheeseish stuff?   Used one of
the really pretty images from the Grunge Collages set.

Have a wonderful Sunday!  I'll be back to check in with you and
blog visit on Saturday, so leave me a comment and a link, I'll be
ready for a good snoop around.

P.S.  Finally home again, this time to stay for a long while, so
will be back to blog visiting more regularly again.

trick-or-treat! a blog hop with Halloween goodies . . .

Oh, yes, it's almost trick-or-treat time, and I DO like candy!
So do these two cuties:
(you can find them on Altered Pages' collage sheet "Vintage Halloween")

It's a treat box--do you like that texture-y look on the side?  I'm liking
those chunky mica flakes (from Stampendous) on the top, so shiny and dimensional!

YUM!  (Not gonna lie, I'm a lil' bit drunk on those pumpkins right now . . .)

Wanna win a digital collage page?  Maybe more than one?  How
about a super cool scissor mouse, wouldn't that be a fun treat?

Come trick-or-treat with the Altered Pages first ever blog hop--you can find
the details at the first link below.  I'll be away from a computer when the
prize time comes, so be sure to check the Altered Pages blog to see if you
won.  My sweet design team sisters will be posting "my" winners there.
Each teamie will have two winners, PLUS there's the scissor mouse,
so lots of chances for a treat or two!

Have fun trick-or-treat hopping your way through the Altered Pages
design team--don't forget to leave comments and "follow" along the way!

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #174

LOTS of stuff, some leftover from projects, some new-in-package:
Some glittery Christmasy stuff from a little piece made for Altered Arts,
leftover gypsy images (from Altered Pages) used for these atcs (they also got
sent in for a swap),  a brand new little set of Copics, those tiny ink pads--
the handles are perfect for distressing stuff--and lots of other design team
goodies.  But probably my favorite new thing is this set of paints:
Not the super good kind, but definitely decent paints, and had with
a half-off coupon!  Are you WOYWWing this week?  I missed last
week, as the girl child and I were in Orlando, and while we were there, we
got to visit Epcot and the Magic Kingdom.
We literally wandered into a building and look who was there!
This week, however, I will have my usual Wednesday blog snoop,
and hope to visit most, if not all, of the wonderful WOYWWers.
And thank you again to everyone who said nice things and voted
for me, despite my last utterly shameless post!

atc sized canvases

I've had these tiny canvases for a while, but now that  Unruly Paper Arts is
ready for a new round of Reader's Art Quests and the new Canvassing October
issue, it seemed like a good time to make some painted backgrounds.

Do you use paint in your projects?  I generally use some, but this time, even
the stamped image is acrylic paint.  These are all atc sized, 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches:

(The image is from the Feeling Regal set, from Blockheads)

I really like the texture of canvas, it's a nice added dimension to any piece.
Here are a couple of the finished canvases--the gypsy images are
from Altered Pages:

Are you ready to join in the Painted Project Reader's Art Quest?
I look forward to seeing your painty, canvas creations!
