What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #177

Notta lot.

The living room work table has been cleaned off and sent to the barn,
in preparation for painting (the walls) and new carpet, so I'm back in
the actual art room.

Things have kind of landed here and there . . .
The "cheese" box is a leftover from the Halloween and trinket box
projects, the paper pads and stamps from a piece for an article for
next month's Unruly Paper Arts, and the painty brayers are for
monoprinting.

Here's a little peek at the UPA project:
 but I can't show the rest for a few more weeks . . .

Will be coming around for a visit to all who stop by this week, and
last week's WOYWWers who left comments, too.

What's on YOUR workdesk?

:)

Such a pretty project for UPA - hope you show us the finished one. I have been using up all my junk beads this week so will be looking for old necklaces at the next car boot sale! x Jo #79

Tease! Sneaky peeks indeed! I have all sorts of debris including toilet paper/paper towel rolls, cheese containers, salt boxes, empty cereal boxes in my crafty space. My husband says it is becoming a local dump! Guess I need to recycle some of it and if I need something just go buy another box/bottle etc. and get this place cleaned up! Hope you have a great week. Nice to see such a busy-looking desk! As much as I admire people who can keep everything really neat, mess makes more sense to me!! Have a lovely week, Chloe 85

The first thing we spied was the cheese box, but that's because we are eternally hungry bears.

Can't wait to see the finished piece!!
Thanks for answering my question!! I've "heard" you say some things that made me wonder! Is there a fb page or anything? If so, I would like it!!
I am so excited to mono print! I was so excited to see your article. Another friend from the Netherlands was doing it, but she didn't give as precise directions. Thanks for the idea! I've mono printed in the past, but not in the "at home" style. This is one of my weekend plans this week!!!!
I've just been so busy working and making art for everyone in the universe but me lately! I have to start doing art I love!!
And, isn't altered pages the person/people who bought the Mailbox Muse? Were you as surprised as I was? I think it will make the kits even more awesome!! Part of my new "do stuff for me" thing I plan on visiting some of these sites I've been dying to visit, including that one!!

Yep, there's a facebook page--it's very "guyish," and doesn't exactly have a big fb presence, but our boys post updates for the customers who get updates on their phones.

I have to admit, Jean gave a vague clue, and I totally guessed it . . . but she told me to keep it under my hat, so I did. She's awesome at putting things together in kits, so oh yes, I think the Mailbox Muse will continue to be fantastic!

(Monoprinting is SO much fun!)

You have some lovely things on your desk this week. Those stamps look gorgeous and I had to laugh at the cheese box!!
Thanks for your lovely comments, no WOYWW from me this week, life has taken over but I'll be back!! I agree, the Little House books are much much better than the TV show.
Happy WOYWW

I have to ask "what is monoprint"? Your desk is fascinating this week, with everything that has landed. Thank you for your visit this week and your sympathy. I had to get rid of the glue there and then otherwise it would have been there forever, annoying me. Have a good week. xx Maggie #33

Loving the butterfly! I think sometimes moving things around and just letting them land randomly helps with the creative process!

Hi, Maggie! A monoprint or monotype is different from other types of printing in that you only make one of each print. I generally use mine for backgrounds.

ooh some lovely creativity going on there.....looks like ping pong balls too on the desk! Loving the brayers for printing.
thanks for visiting my desk already

ohooo a memory thingy came into my head when I saw the cheese box... me...five years old... (long time ago!)...
cover said box and make a face on the front and pipe cleaners sticking out of the sides for hair, so it's a hanging scary face...well... at five I thought it was the bees knees!! Thanks for my snoop! Have a great crafty week! HaPpY Late WOYwW!

Nice view, hope the decorating goes smoothly and fast, nothing like a refreshed living space. The things that landed include eggs? or are they polystyrene balls? I don't know, but I totally love that for a minute, your desk is piles!

Hi Trisha, I just made a blog post about your monoprinting article and I showed the pages I made.
Thanks for the awesome article!
