So this is what WAS
on my workdesk, and I couldn't show
it before--Altered Pages is starting
up a monthly challenge,
Alter Your Creativity, and the first challenge is to
create a headdress. Mine is a headdress for Mnemosyne, goddess of
memory,
and mother of the nine muses--there is a medallion
made from inchie images
representing each of the muses. In the other pic at the AP blog you can see
the other side, with old movie film trailing down the back, as well.
For the utterly shameless part--if you would kindly
click on this linky
HERE, and vote for me,
(it's in the sidebar),
then I won't be the giant goof
that no one voted for.
**sigh**
It's like I'm having a teenage flashback, with those awful feelings of
UGH, everyone is going to think I'm
ugly/stupid/goofy (fill in the blank
with your particular
insecurity).
Where is that even coming from? Good grief!
All ranting aside, Happy WOYWW to you! As usual, I'll be around
tonight for my weekly, worldwide blog snoop with you. Pretty sure I got
around to everyone who commented last week--will double check
that first . . . see you later!
PS--Thanks to my WOYWW friends, my headdress has some votes now,
so I can breath a huge sigh of relief!

I love how you alter things so easily Trisha, and your creativity is endless. This is an amazing headdress, reminds me of a turban in some ways. Great medallions and pearls.

Trisha - this is just too darn sweet! I love that you used a goddess as your muse!
Trisha, that is so intricate! Really beautiful!! And I need to check out this Goddess of memory, I can't seem to remember anything lately!!!

What an unusual challenge ! Great fun & very thoughtfully planned ! Ali #53
It is a different challenge--I think that's what they're going to try and continue to do with future challenges, is to make them different from what we usually see.
:)
Me again.
Thanks for sharing your work space and have a great and creative end to the week. Happy WOYWW.
hugs {brenda} xox

I voted for you and when i go to walk her to school tomorrow and read her the comments on her post, we will vote for you on my daughters url.
She DOES look sad, doesn't she? It doesn't seem like this would have made a very good child's toy, does it?
Well thank you so VERY much!

I love the head dress, very creative! Good luck! Thanks for your kind comments re my knitting. Really, it looks much harder than it is. There are only two colours per row, (that is traditional fair isle), and I love playing with the different colours. Happy late WOYWW!
Hi there Trisha well we never know what we will find on WOYWW do we - headdresses reminiscent of the roaring twenties! Mm time capsule indeed! Don't think you need to panic you have lots of votes. Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #35
Would make a cute halo for an angel too! :)

Beautiful headdress, gorgeous and I'm sure you will have loads and loads of votes. Happy Woyww :-) Kerry x
I love the headress Trisha, and your bit of classical imagery. I guess she must be the person we get the word mnemonic from. I love the way you have represented the muses,
