image tranfers--What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #241

Hello to all my WOYWW friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas,
and a Happy New Year to you.  Here is what was on my workdesk last night:
These are bamboo tiles with transfer images added--they're double transfers, I
was thinking cherry blossom trees with faces peeking through the branches.  If
you'd like to see the one I finished off, you will find it at the brand new Altered
Arts Magazine blog.  (Not gonna lie to you, I like it better here, before the copper
tape was added--let me know what you think . . .)  And if you'd like to see how to
make one of these transfers, there's an easy how-to today at Unruly Paper Arts.

Now, if my internet will cooperate (SLOW today), I'll be around to snoop out what's
on your workdesk.  As always, a big THANK YOU to Julia for the fun!

That's neat that you can put a transfer over a transfer and get a nice scene out of it. I think the copper tape doesn't detract from it at all. Thanks for the visit earlier and for not messing up my clean desk. I did mess it up last night but then I picked up again. I thought maybe I should take a photo of it messy just so the folks at WOYWW won't disown me!

Hi Trisha these are gorgeous, I like the tiles without the copper too.... they are a bit like the dominoes I make, only lighter which is probably better .... where do you get the tiles from?
I had a look a the tutorial as well and loved the ones with stamps on .. might try that too, thanks for sharing

Wow, I love the double transfers on the bamboo tiles. They are awesome. Yep, I think I like these better than with the copper.

Thanks for visiting me already because I'm so late due to blogger not cooperating with me that my number has changed from 16 to 13.

These are so pretty! Love those images, too. I peeked over at Altered arts and I think I like them better without the copper edging, too. But that being said, it is beautiful as well.

Oh my, these are just beautiful, Trisha - glossy, translucent and so delicately done... I will go and have a look, but I feel I'm going to agree with you on the copper-less finish! Exquisite work.

That's one of my favorite things about this type of transfer--the bamboo sort of "glows" from underneath . . .

Dang - missed this last week so had to pop round THIS week. Glad I did - loving image transfer at the moment so nice to see examples. Love those tiles too - very nice and they look thinner than dominoes.

Happy WOYWW!
