a BIG mess. What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday, 243

My art room is FREEZING, so I bring things into the living room to work.
Tonight we had a family dinner, so I moved everything back to the art room:

You can see the stamps and the book of sheet music I used for my first official
post for Something Tattered, it's a collage (if you have a minute in your WOYWW
visiting, I would be grateful if you'd take a look at it HERE).

The box in front is full of beads, and the fabric is all yummy silks--I can only give
you  a little look at that piece-in-progress:

That's it for me right now--I'm off to visit some desks!

(PS--here is a peek at an atc that is bound for Peggy's--Peggy, I'm so sorry
it's taken me so long!)
For where your heart is, there your heart will be also.
Happy WOYWW to you, and thank you Julia for the party.  :)

I love a messy desk. Are you like me - you work yourself into a teeny tiny space of actually clean space to work? LOL April #22

I understand about having all that stuff out on your desk. I just keep pushing back to find workspace. Peg R #13

OK, I guess we are on an equal footing this week, as far as messy desks go :) I do see some interesting things on yours though :)
Have a good week.

What's going on here? Do we all turn the heat off/close the registers in our studios? Well now, you got my attention with 'beads'! And I see a birds nest on fabric?! Oh can't wait to see the whole piece. Happy WOYWW! Nan G #23

Ohhh that peek of your project looks gorgeous. I think crafters all spread out no mater how much space we set aside for craft. I am so grateful for my little room, create a mess and close the door.

My craft room gets really cold too. I have a lot of windows. I can't wait to see your completed projects. #3

what a busy desk, no room to craft though, thanks for sharing Donna #41

Just had a peek at your collage, beautiful. Stamping on fabric is obviously something I should try more often, so much yo do, so little time. I'm a 'push it to the left, push it to the right' kind of crafter, I can craft in a 6x6 inch space - and usually do just that.

Happy WOYWW

I believe to create a masterpiece one must create a mess....that's my story anyway...You have some interesting things happening, can't wait to see how it turns out.. Have a great week and happy crafting DeDe #47

My work room is freezing too and it isn't conducive to drifting in to craft... I have to think ahead and put heating on in there. Even my table is stainless steel so really cold to touch. I love your mess and all that's in there and it reassures me that most of us are like that. I always feel un-nerved to see a clear tidy space.
Have fun

Lovely collage! And a lovely messy desk! My room is cold too, but not freezing, I have a friend who won't work in her room in the winter because it is so cold. I used to have a stamp room in the basement, and I would use gloves with the fingers cut off to do my work!

When it gets good and cold here (which hasn't happened this winter) I keep a small space heater under my desk.
Now I did take a good and proper look at all the bits and bobs and containers on your desk. Now if I could just pull out some of those drawers and take a peek at what's in them too. LOL
Have a great week!

Gotta love a messy desk. It lets us know we're busy and creative. And messy. :D But your works are wonderful, even the little peeks, and the collage on the other blog is precious.

It's far too cold in my craft room, too. What little time I spent there taking photos was enough for me. I can understand the state of your desk. Mine would look like that if I didn't put everything away after I use it, lately in my office, since it's warmer there.

Bleubeard and I thank you for the previous visit. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Just came back to brag on the gelli plate I made. It has been 6 weeks without mold. If I were to make a bigger one...cookie sheet I would just double the recipe. I would also use an all aluminum cookie sheet and just leave it in the tray. My two cents but for less then $10 you can have a huge gelli plate! Vickie

You will be glad to hear that the police helicopter has gone somewhere else for the moment. I live quite close to a prison, to the Crown Court, and to the hub of the motorway network, so we do see a lot of the helicopter. It is just at night when it becomes annoying, but comforting too in a way. Thank you for your visit, and my desk is now back in something of a mess. I did not have time to tidy up after playing yesterday because the dogs wanted OUT NOW, so before I start my next project, I must put away the things I was using and clean the brayer and Splodge mat. Have a good week. xx Maggie #2

Yep, huge shame about Archivers, they had really good products. It warmed up here at the weekend finally but all that meant for us was another six inches of snow! Think I prefer the cold weather, at least it's dry, lol! My own room is cold during the week and I don't care to heat it just for an hour of crafting after work, so I seem to be knitting more than anything at the moment. Happy late woyww!
