What's on your workdesk? Wednesday #165

This is what was on my workdesk, and bits of it still are, but I finished this fellow off:

Little Jimmy Van Houten's preference for lemonade was never revealed to the public.

I think if I were to do it over, the smarty little sentiment would go on the inside, but
there it is.  The image is from Artistic Outpost, the Think and Wonder plate. This is
my second go with an image from this charming plate, you can see the first HERE if
you like, and some other AO cards, as well.

Happy WOYWW to you!  If you aren't familiar with What's On Your Workdesk?
Wednesday, stop by Julia's for a look . . .

And look at that, the Artistic Outpost challenge this month is Anything Goes.
Little Jimmy wants to play!

I too think it looks good. Funny how we see things in hindsight though. #109

I like it, too. If it wasn't there, I'd want something to be there... It's a great piece, and I love the ultra-distressed edge.

Thanks for your nice comment Trisha - all now well with the computer - the power adaptor arrived this morning! Glad you like what I've been doing with my recycled kitchen paper.

Happy WOYWW,

LOVE this...I'm a real fan of quirky phrases!! I wouldn't have hidden it on the inside...I might have made the whole thing a touch bigger and put it over to the right tho? Like it just as it is mind you!!!! xx Trish #10

I like the quirky sentiment and the clever way you have created the background through sequin waste? x M

Very cute! I love your WOYWW posts! Maybe one of these days I will post along too! :) Becky

Yep, craft ink through sequins waste--and a little spritz of black paint, but it looks kind of grey and misty . . .

:)

trisha too said...

You really should, Becky--but make sure you leave time for a good blog snoop through at least some of the list of WOYWWers!

:)

Okay, kay, now I have to figure out what you mean by a boiler--as in, it gives off heat, right? No?

Happy woyww!

I love it! Poor Van Houten!! Great idea for the text, and less alarming than i thought when you mentioned that 'bits' are on your desk still....i was thinking body parts!!

Love the colors and added sentiment. Thanks for playing along with us at Artistic Outpost!

Fortunately, Little Jimmy's secret is less disturbing than body bits lying about . . . but there's a thought, Julia!

This is terrific, and I love your funny quote! I never think of doing things like that. I have this set and it is a fave. (BTW, a boiler is the thing we have in the UK like a cylinder for your central heating and hot water - didn't realize you didn't call them that in the US),

This is hilarious - surely news of his preference must've snuck out somehow! Great card, with a gorgeous stamp at its centre... lovely work!
