Do you ever start to make something, and then
end up making something completely different
from what you had originally envisioned?
When I first read the Random Readhead "crown" challenge
at Gingersnap Creations, I was delighted at the prospect
of using one of my favorite new stamps--you can see it on
Titania, Queen of the Fairies.
But then, the appeal of making a "real" crown was
just too strong, so I got out my big roll of wire.
Really, I intended to make a traditional kind of
crown, you know, with triangle-points at the top,
tipped with jewels, but that didn't happen AT ALL.
Then, I was blog snooping, ahem, visiting, some
of the inspiring Ginger blogs, and found the
Simon Says Stamp and Show some metal challenge.
So there you go.
Finished it up last night, and wore it until
it was time for bed . . .

Terrific crown Trisha, now all you have to do is make the dress and you are ready for a night out.... Have a great weekend, Annette x
My goodness, a true princess crown.

How fun! Lovin' the shimmer and microbeads on the sheet music hearts. Thanks for playing along at Gingersnap Creations.
I wanna see a pic of you wearing it! Queen of Crafty!
This is so fun!
Fabulous! bet you enjoyed wearing the crown such fun.
So creative! Glad you got to wear it until bedtime--means it's functional as well as beautiful! Thanks for taking the Gingersnap Creations crown challenge! Helene
Oh yes indeed I wore it! It's a pretty great feeling, to wear a crown around, let me tell you . . . I'm thinking of wearing it to the grocery store, just to see what happens!
:)
How fun! yes I know exactly what you are talking about. Happy Weekend, Kim
Fun crown - love it, you Queen of Hearts, you! You worn it out yet??!!
x
Not yet, but I did wear it around the house when my kids' friends were there . . . they're all so used to me, though, no big reactions. It went like this:
"Nice crown. You make it?"
"Yes."
"Is it on your blog thing?"
"Yes."
That was it. I'm thinking it would definitely get more reaction at the grocery, you know? ;)
that conversation is quite amusing!
I love your crown! I can imagine how special you felt wearing it....I'm thinking...is this to hard for me to try?
Hi Trisha. Yes, I often start on something and wind up making something different from it! I love your sweet crown. So very pretty and unique.
Thank you for responding to my ATC question. It really helps to get advice from the "pros." You're totally right: I'm already addicted.
Love it! It's awesome that you wore it, too. :-)
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Ha ha, love that conversation! Don't you just love kids and how they accept mad adults? Can you imagine what they said when they got home and their parents faces??!
