do you go saleing?

We go saleing, usually on Friday mornings--you
know, saleing. Estate sales, garage sales,
yard sales. We don't get up at the crack of
dawn, or travel a zillion miles away, so I
guess we're casual salers.

Today, at the first estate sale, I found a
roll of craft aluminum, and this, brand new,
in the box, cord still wrapped with the little
twisty tie:

I said "Thank you very much."
It never hurts to have a back-up heat gun, right?

BUT then, there was a box of "stuff." Lots of
stuff, stuff I like.

"How much is this box of stuff?"

"$5.00."

Well, "Thank you very much," again!

This isn't all of it--there is a stack of Bible lesson
cards from 1885 through the early 1900's with striking
lithographs, various cards, postcards, and graduation
announcements from the early 1900's. One piece was a
grade school graduation program; there were only five
students in the entire class!

I like stuff.

Have you been saleing lately? Find anything fun?

Hi Trisha! I don't post a lot, but I had to post on this one, as I love going to garage sales too! The past two weekends I have scored big with Stampin Up sets and individual stamps, and scrapbooking stuff! I love it! It's fantastic when you find stuff like your heat gun, and that box of ephemera-way cool!!!

Hi, TZrisha,
I feel like I have been spendiong most of my time in resale shops lately because of losing weight. I now have enough clothes to fit me so I can make it thru a week without having to do laundry every 2 days, lolol I love resale shops and garage sales! They are like treasure hunts, ya just never know what you'll find! my big find, my D&G purse turned out to be a knock off, but oh, well, my lesson to pay closer attention!

Really Trish - with all that "stuff" there's no excuse not to make a teeny tiny inchy! lol! thanks for dropping by - I understand the lack of creative time - hope to see you with us soon - you can still join in with the alphabets inchies even if you haven't done all the others - and inchy blog may well be stopping once we get to Z

Lori, whoa, I wanna go saleing with you, you're finding some deals!

And Landon, you are so right, it IS a treasure hunt--the thrill of the hunt is definitely part of the game.

Fiona, I love the inchy blog; I hope you keep it around even after the abc challenge is finished!

I hear ya on the creepy men, I want to run home and shower for HOURS! I am learning to respond to those creepz when they show up. I want a big bold t-shirt that has a big red circle with a bigger red circle running thru something like NO CREEPY MEN ALLOWED!!! Or abusive, gosh, it would need to be a really big t-shirt, lolol How is your sis doing with her weight loss? I am keeping this weight off no matter what. I am not putting it back on.

It's my cousin--she finally had bariatric (sp?) after 30+ years of yo-yo dieting, and has great success with it. I'm very proud of her, she's really an amazing person!

I never have any luck with used electrical stuff-even new in the box. Electric ice cream maker-wouldn't turn on, electric hedge clippers-too dull wouldn't cut paper much less a hedge etc, etc.
Now as for the box of paper goodies. . .Nice!

Hey, I took it out of the box and plugged it in--wasn't taking any chances, even if it was pretty cheap!

It was an estate sale, and the guy helping me had to ask what I was going to use it for!

Well, no. I have cut myself off from saleing for awhile.
I have too much stuff.
Trying to get this house organized and back under control.
The clutter is driving me insane. I clean it up and it piles up again.
No more saleing for me. Atleast until my Mother-in-law calls. tee hee
