I have found a way to make Clean And Simple cards with glitter, and yet remain clean and simple. You'll find the "secret" to my success in the CutCardStock blogpost HERE.
Have a wonderful weekend!

the diy frame match game
Today at the DIY Design blog, I'm sharing this trio of frames, who received a match game upgrade, using Americana Chalky Finish paint and Crème Wax, plus some DecoArt Chalkboard Paint to complete the grouping.
Thank you for stopping by!

circle gel prints--spotlight!
Ever pull a buncha gel prints, and then stash them away? Hey, there is nothing wrong with that--art therapy is a good thing. However, recently, I tried out a circle Gel Press plate, and wanted to use the circle prints for something . . .
Several found there way into a bird themed board book, you can see one above. The others utilize the circle as a spotlight, focusing attention on a great little poem, and the other another fine feathered friend. You'll find those two book pages in my post at Altered Pages Artsociates, HERE.
Happy Thursday to you!!!

I'm back, with a few random pics
Oh, please, you didn't even notice I was gone. We were in South Carolina for a little vacation-- neither the husband nor I had been there before. It was a wonderful trip, very interesting, very pretty.

It was weird to walk along a street full of prerevolutionary houses that people live in now.
But, you know, I'm from Missouri, so . . .

peeky Easter egg!
Are you as happy as I am to welcome spring? I've already started Eastering with this little cutie:
I've made quite a few of these Peeky Eggs (you know, like hollow sugar or chocolate eggs), but this one is my favorite so far. That's partly due to the sweet little girl, and partly because of the shimmery metallic finish of the Curious Metallics Smoosh Roses surrounding her. Not sure what a Smoosh Rose is? You can learn how to make your own HERE.
Those roses are so simple, I like to make a bunch in neutrals and save them to use in later projects.
Are YOU Eastering yet???

a spring window frame diy makeover, and the final fairy pop layout
Whew, my inaugural post at the CutCardStock blog is up. I had grand illusions that spring was truly here, but then it snowed on my daffodils. ***sigh*** That didn't stop me from updating the window frame that lurks around our house, this guy occasionally gets a seasonal fix:
Also, at the Altered Page Artsociates blog, the final, and my very favorite, layout from the tiny 2x4 inch fairy themed pop-up book is up.
I am SO ready for spring. Count me in on these spring challenges, please!

more fairy pop-up pages
Time for more fairy pops!
You'll find more photos and another layout in my post today at the Altered Pages Artsociates page.
Also, I'm very pleased to let you know that I've been invited to join the CutCardStock design team. As I'm already madly in love with their metallic cardstock, this is looking to be a good pairing . . .
