printing party--What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday #294

Party with my Gelli plate and some pretty new paints--won't bore you with too much talk, here's what's on my workdesk today:
Stencils and paints (DecoArt, media and Traditions line), lots of messy printing, and trying to use chipboard cuts for masks (swirly one from Leaky Shed Studio).
I really like the detail in this leaf!!!
Seriously good art therapy.  These particular prints are getting stitched up into a book, but I'm making a buncha Valentine backgrounds, too.  They should be up Thursday.

Happy WOYWW to you--and thank you, Julia!

Ok I am officially envious of your talent, you have created some really awesome gelli prints. I love the doily one the most, but seriously they are all brilliant.

Those leaves look like you set some real leaves down there. Fabulous fun! Gelli party! That made me laugh. Enjoy the festivities. Judy #76

Lovely vibrant prints, Trisha, and I love the leaves and doiley. One day I shall get going with gelli printing...

Thank you for your lovely comment. It's not good news, but somehow my hubby and I will make our way through the minefield and hopefully come out more or less in one piece the other side. Your kind words, and especially your prayers, are very much appreciated. I shall certainly be keeping everybody up to date on my blog, probably on the cancer diary page but I expect there will be regular posts too. Glad you like my new RUBs and my embroidery. I am enjoying both! I can't wait to have enough pennies to get the rest of the RUBs I need, and then my ARTHaven will start to look REALLY organised!

Happy WOYWW,

PS thanks for your other lovely comments too - glad you liked the photos I took of our favourite eating place back in the summer! Phoebe's a terror and would take advantage of every opportunity to get onto the road, and we were very fortunate to get her back on that occasion. As you can see, I was hopping mad with that wretched man!!!

I still amaze myself at the fact I wanted a Gelli for over three years, and when I finally got one last Christmas, have only used it ONCE. I don't much care for it. A real waste of money. But I sure like YOURS. You seem to have the knack I lack (poet and didn't know it).

Happy WOYWW from #1 and thanks for visiting me while I slept.

Here's the thing with the Gelli--I wanted to make a gelatin plate for quite a while, and had all the ingredients, and the recipe, and then voila! Out came Gelli plates, which don't mold or need to be in the refrigerator. So I bought one instead, and while I don't use it every week, when I do, it's definitely a printing party!!!!!

I must get my Gelli plate out and give it another go. Your prints are gorgeous and such a great idea to do a whole lot in one sitting/Party.

WOW awesome monoprints. I love all the designs and colors. I made a larger sized gelatin plate all most a year ago using alcohol and glycerin in the mix and it has sat out the whole year without molding or turning bad. I need to drag it our and see what it will do for valentine prints. I will be back Thursday to see yours. I hope you have a great week and thanks for visiting my blog earlier. Vickie #31
