June has flown by!

It's hard to believe how fast this summer is flying by;  not sure why this one should be especially, ridiculously quick on it's hot little feet, but there it is.  Or, rather, there it was.

Anyway, between house renovations and gardening, I am catching a little time to create.  I am especially loving pop-up books right now;  here are a couple of layouts from a fairly simple fairy pop-up book:
If I weren't so enamored of the Gelli plate monotype backgrounds, the layouts may have been more elaborate--but then again, less going on equals more attention on the fairy quotes and the beautiful images.
images and pop-up fairy card or book kit available at Altered Pages.
This page is especially fun to open, as the fairy looks as if she is flying away.

I've been working on another book, this one isn't pop, though--it's one that has pockets full up of delicious vintagey things--so will be sharing that soon.

Have a wonderful Sunday/Monday, everyone!

:)

I love these! I love that poem by W. B. Yeats in the first little pop-up book so much! The fairies look superb, especially the one who looks as if she is flying away out of the book! Great work! Julie Ann xxx

Oh Trisha, it's so lovely! The background and the fairies are both stunning. It's a technique I would love to try sooner or later!
