If your horse ain't wantin' to go there . . .
. . .then neither should you. Sounds like good advice
to me! This is a layout from my latest mini book,
made for the Wild West themed round of challenges at
Gingersnap Creations. The new challenge is "twine"--
there's obviously some on the tag, but that's also
twine there----
frayed around the star brads. Your creation
doesn't have to follow the Wild West general theme,
just twine, and really, who doesn't have some of
that lying about? The denim looking bits were made
using the faux denim technique from Technique Junkies,
and the key/twine/denim thing actually goes around the
closed book; it's just holding open the vellum overlay,
so you can see Mr. Ed there . . . the collage
images are from Altered Pages (which has a brand
new site open, by the way--congratulations!)
This challenge doesn't end until June 7th, so you have
plenty of time to work up a something--I'd love to stop
by and see what you create, so leave us a linky at
Gingersnap Creations!

Awesome book! Wowzers! Just stunning!
Love your horses, great work
This is fabulous, Trisha! You've used twine in such creative ways (love the frayed bits!), and I absolutely love the quote! I know it's meant to be humorous, but there is much truth in it - animals are often smarter than people, LOL! Such a fun book. :)
This is a fabulous little book. xx
What a great book! Love the framing of the photos.
Fantastic work (as usual!) - love it!!
Pictures and quotes in your book are such fun! Love your use of twine and your fabulous embellishments, perfect for this project.
Great altered book - I love what you have done with the twine!
The quote on your blog post attracted me to read further. First of all this is a great piece. Your quote made think of my younger days when my horse would NOT go up the road for anything. Brought him back to the stable and the owner said hmmmm something is up if he won't listen to you. We all hopped in his truck and only went a few hundred yards to find Mama bear and cubs on the road. Horse sense indeed.
Love all the western pieces you have been creating!
Such a breathtaking piece of art. Wondeful.
