Things I overheard the 16-yr-old son saying to his
friend today on the phone:
"What we really need is a steam roller . . ."
"A controlled fire would work . . ."
Did I even WANT to stick around to hear more?
That would be a resounding NO. Just kept on walking,
thank you very much.
Later:
"Mom, I'm going to Devin's, okay?"
"Sure, but no controlled fires."
"Oh, don't worry, they won't be controlled."
He's soooo very funny . . .
Now seriously, does anyone have any recommendations for
dial-up internet? Please? Help? Anyone?

I fear the day that my "twins" become teens. I fear for the world.
The only help for dial-up is DSL.
AAAAARRRHHHHGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Alas and alack, dear Lola, they do have a tendency to become teens,
AND
there is no cable where we live.
*sigh*
maybe someday . . .
any other suggestions???
We don't have cable where I live either. But we have DSL through the phone company. You might check into that.
thank you for the tip!
believe me, we WILL check.
Love the eavesdropped conversation : )Kinda makes me want to know what they were talking about.
No dsl or cable available in my area-I finally gave in and went with a Satellite-and I've been very pleased.
Do you have Southwestern Bell out there?
can't help but smile at your teenage son! i have a almost 3-year-old son, still too young but i can already see that he is the sort who would experiment with fire. i just pray he would not burn down any house. sigh!
just dropping by.
