wisteria

This is what dd sees when she looks out of her bedroom window.
It's wisteria, hanging over the deck.

Here's what it looks like from on the deck. Unfortunately
for you, it is impossible to translate the wonderful scent . . .

. . . or the sound of the bumbles buzzing in it! It's
quite a noise, let me assure you. They're very benign,
however--we've never been stung by a bumble in all our
10 years here.

Mmmmmmmm. My Grandparents had the most beautiful wisteria growing over their front door. It was so heavy with blooms that I couldn't believe it was real!
Thanks for the memory.

Beautiful!! I love wisteria, and the fragrant smell. My neighbor has an arbor over her patio and it covers the entire patio, I love enjoying hers. Yours is beautiful.

Love the wisteria!
I have three of them growing in my garden area. Every year I threaten to cut down one of them because it's growing into my crepe myrtle. But I just can't bring myself to do it.

What beautiful photos! I love wisteria! I don't have it here and I miss it since we moved to TN. Maybe I'll plant one come fall. The smell is intoxicating!

The wisteria is gorgeous. I don't know that I've ever smelled it. Is it like lilacs at all? I'll have to mosey on down and take a sniff.

Missed you friday...

I've never heard of Wisteria before. Flowers are more of a girl thing, I think. Don't get me wrong. I love flowers. I just don't know all the different kinds. They are beautiful, your Wisteria. And I have no doubt that they smell great. I don't care for the bumbles. They scare me. I'm glad you haven't gotten stung.

That sounds lovely and looks beautiful! What part of the country to Wisteria grow in?
