hope rising (Out of the Box!)

This is my entry for the challenge at altered pages. They said to think out of the box, and Pandora immediately came to mind. Then, since hope is what is left, that makes me think of Emily Dickinson:

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chilliest land
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

After our little photo session and returning Miss Hope to the art room, I found Chester the World's Greatest Dog (who is really a cat) reposing in the posing spot.

It was getting late, however, and all he had in mind was a good sleep.

what a lovely piece, and the cats cute too...lol. I saw on your profile that you like to read. Have you read any Jodi Picoult books. She is absolutely amazing. Makes you think about all sides of a conflict.

AMAZING!! Trisha you are so inspiring! I've got something picked out to collage-but haven't got it all together yet. I only wish it would turn out as good as yours!

I love your altered art!!! Way to think outside the box! Chester the dog-is that perhaps from one of the world's greatest movies The Kid?

yeah, well, you know my childrens--it's a cross between the movie (J's offering) and the cat from the Bunnicula books? Or Hank the Cowdog? Must be Bunnicula, because that one was the girlchild's idea.
