framed collage animal prints, and a little spring--What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #354

Happy Wednesday, deskers, I have returned once again--this time with the finished, framed animals from a previous woyww post.

The frames were all mismatched, so I unified them with a coat of my favorite matte acrylic paint (these paints are Americana, and a favorite for four reasons: 1.they coat so well that you don't have to use the whole bottle at one go,  2.they come in about a million billion colors,  3.that lovely matte finish, and  4.they are inexpensive enough to use for everyday crafty stuff!)

These weren't my idea--they are for a baby boy's nursery, and the mama had pinned to Pinterest a similar project.  I changed the animals somewhat, and made the colors to match their nursery.
(If you want to see the original collaged pages, just scroll down a post.  The finished versions are high quality color copies of the animals cut from those collaged papers.)

And now for some spring:
The daffodils are blooming again!
If you want to know more about What's on Your Workdesk?  Wednesday, simply stop by and see our gracious hostess, the lovely Miss Julia.

It's been ages since I've joined any challenges, but here we go:
Altered Eclectics:  March (anything goes, altered or mixed media)
**Art*Journal*Journey:  "If you go down to the woods" (do these creatures fit that theme, or what!?!)
Pixel and Paper Challenge--monochromatic (each animal is a monochromatic collage of a color from the baby's nursery)

Well, that was fun . . .

  1. Good morning, Trisha! I love those 'prints'. You did a beautiful job and they will look great in baby's room. Good to know about Americana paints. I've always used Folk Art for a lot of the same reasons. Daffodils are pretty. Mine are all yellow. I'd love some white ones. My tulips are up. Waiting for them to flower out. Creative Blessings! 6. Evening, Trisha. Those pictures are just great. They will make a lovely addition to a nursery. It is good to see the daffodils out, isn't it? They are all out over here too. Wales, the land of the daffodil - they are everywhere!
I read on the side bar that you would happily become a follower - just to check our settings. Erm... not sure how to do that... any clues what I should be looking for?
    Take care. God bless.
