making more little books--What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #263

Making it short and WOYWW sweet today:
The Desk.  Clothespins make wonderful clamps!  That's a little book waiting for a cover under that acrylic, and the lilac background paper is in the running for the cover.  (You can see more backgrounds similar to that one HERE, and even print them for using in your own arty endeavors, if you like.)

images from Altered Pages
Here is a layout from a fairy book I've been working on, using those backgrounds--they're monotype prints, all painty and inky and spritzy sprayed in spots--this one uses a doily as a stencil, can you tell?  It has a shimmer mist sprayed all over it, too, but of course you can't tell in the photo.

Seriously, I'm going to try and visit all the woywwers sometime this week, but no promises--you know how that is!  But I'll at least be by to everyone who stops in here, okay?  And let's count this layout in at the current round at Craft Hoarders Anonymous.  It definitely goes with the theme--Spray It! Ink It! Paint It! Smear It! Emboss It!--the only one NOT showing here is embossing!

  17. I love that fairy book - and the quote is wonderful. Clever you, the text and image work really well together!
And clothes pegs do have a multitude of uses - for example, in my brass band, they are used to clamp down the music when we're playing outside. Even the slightest breeze can whip a piece of the music off the stand before you can catch it!

  18. Love the fairy, and the background- awesome. I bought a bag of little plastic clamps from Poundland- they are great for all this sort of stuff that needs holding down till its stuck, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #30xx

Thank you for your lovely comment - I am feeling quite a bit better now, and was well enough to enjoy today's outing, but slept deeply in the car. I am so glad you've enjoyed seeing my photos and "exploring" (virtually!) a new part of the world! It really is beautiful here. Home tomorrow!

  27. Hi. I'm a little late getting round this week but wanted to say thanks for popping over to mine.
It never fails to amaze me what us crafters take into our creative spaces to use...pegs and a flower holder :-)
