diy shelf redo, making a bench, and PAINT! What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #332

What's On Your Workdesk??  (If you're not sure what's up with WOYWW, stop by Julia's to find out.)

What's on my workdesk?

NEW PAINT!  I'm anxious to crack these open:

A plain laminate bookshelf is in the middle of a redo--this is BEFORE any change:

This is with all the trim added, but no paint yet:

And this is the footboard to a twin bed we sawed in half yesterday, getting ready for a "make a bench" adventure:
(The headboard will be the back of the bench, these will be the sides.)
And PS, the bed was free off the side of the road--free is a great way to experiment!!!
Wish me luck!

  3. Oooh Trisha those paints look delicious! I can well understand why you want to crack them open and get started! The projects you are working on are most intriguing, especially the sawn in half headboard! Most imaginative!

Thanks for your visit and your lovely comment - I am so happy to be coming to the end of my chemo, and can then concentrate on feeling much better! Glad you are enjoying my card factory. Not usually being one to enjoy making cards that much, I am really enjoying this, and doing lots of different techniques and using different materials, and it's quite an adventure. I painted one with Perfect Pearls this evening and am thrilled with the shimmery result!

So many lovely things to look forward to now.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  5. I'll be interested in seeing how that bench comes out. We thought about doing something similar with our first bed (iron), only David doesn't have a welder. Glad you stopped by and said howdy! =0)

  9. A great bit of recycling - maxine chopped her double bed up to make a single one. So much better when it's free, costs nothing and a great sense of achievement all round. x jo
