woyww #163 for reals--Two desks today . . .

Today, at least here, you get two workdesks for the price of one visit.

These are actually wooden tray tables, which I move around and work
at whenever I don't want to hibernate in my craft cave--the first is
somewhat tidy:
You can see the remains of a VERY clean and simple card, the backgrounds for
some Garden Party themed 3x3s made for a swap with the Unruly Paper Arts
yahoo group, and the beginnings of some experimentation with those
watercolor gelatos in cool and and warm colors.

Desk number 2 is questionable at best:
The supplies are perfectly fine, and the stamp sets are some I really like and
use quite frequently,  but my combination of all this, which you cannot see in the
pic, that, my friends, is the questionable part.  It's not quite finished yet.  I was
aiming for bright and fun, but may have hit just plain awful instead . . .

The stamp sets, in case you're interested:
Years Ago set
Honey Bees set
alphabet set

Here are the the sets of 3x3s that got traded out in the UPA swap I mentioned
earlier--can't show mine yet, sorry, but soon, okay?

from Shar of Ill Tempered Ink

from Michele of art from the well

There we go, that's your two What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday? desks for
the reduced price of one visit, plus the added bonus of some very pretty 3x3s.  I'll
show you mine next week . . .  please leave a comment, and I will be back with
you sometime this week to see what's on YOUR desk.

Cathy, that is very sweet of you, but I'm still not sure on this one. It would help if I go and actually finish it off though, right?

These are gorgeous! Such variety! I think having two movable desks sounds like a good idea. Sometimes I want to hibernate in my craft cave and sometimes I don't, so I know what you mean,

Looks like an awesome swap, Trisha! Love your traveling table idea. I have a stack of trays I move around for similar reasons.

Hi Trisha (too),

Two desks - now that's impressive. The 3 x 3 pieces look very fun. Love all the vintage photos.

I hate it when you go for bright and fun and wind up with just plain awful. My solution is to keep fussing with it until it is completely awful and then throw it in the bin (but underneath stuff so no one knows it existed). Thanks for the bonus desk. I don't do the portable desk thing often because I have nowhere to port to, but I have been known to pull out a new table when the existing table and desk get too full. You can hear the hubby sigh deeply at those times.

I always like a bargain!! So many thanks for the BOGOF :)
Sometimes, no matter how I try to rectify the situation, an article simply doesn't come together...I leave it to fester for a while and then try again. If it fails second time around, it gets dumped...harsh?? Maybe but there's only so much one gal can take!! Hope yours works out :)

Awww I don't believe your creation will have been awfull, but I know we all feel like that at times, but even if you decide in the end you don't like it, at least you had a go :o) The 3 x 3's are all so pretty x April #89

No way, not possible, not going to happen, nothing is awful not if it is created in your house. All works of art a unique and special. I dont think it is fair that you have more than one desk, how do we know which one you are really showing us? Maybe you are hiding some magnificent art on another table somewhere LOL Your work is good don't ever doubt yourself. Happy crafting.

I think if you love the stamps, any combination is a good one, don't let the thought of 'plain awful' even enter your head!

Not heard of 3 x 3's before but what great toppers they would make - might have to play. You have some beauties there.
Now I see why you commented on my Gelatos - you have more than I have though - interesting to see how we both get on with them.
Thanks for sharing and the good wishes - Hugs, Neet 71 xx
