| Yay! Gelli Plate! |
One of my favorite friends called yesterday, and she always inspires me to
go make something! Got out my new Gelli Plate, and printed off a bunch of
backgrounds. Could have made monoprints all day--that was some great
art therapy, let me tell you! Instead, however, started making them into a book . . .

You are so blessed to have a friend that inspires you creatively. But now you have inspired me to find out what this Geli plate is all about because I truly have to make some of those. I love the colors. Can't wait to see what you do with your book. I am going straight to google what this is and find out where to get it and try it. So your friend has not only inspired you, she inspired me too.

Love what you've done! The sequin scrap makes a great stencil! I should try this (I have a Gelli plate - unopened LOL), but I have an aversion to really messy stuff LOL.

ReplyDeleteTristan, it's not as messy as you might think--it's all pretty contained, especially if you cover the prints with a paper before pressing them with your hands. I usually end up covered with paint, but not a drop yesterday! I left the plastic cover on one side of the plate, and then laid it inside a big tray, that made it easier, too.

ReplyDeleteNow, that sounds like good, squelchy, messy fun! I've never heard of a Gelli plate before but can guess what you get up to with it!! et you'd have to fight your kids off otherwise they'd be using it all the time!
