makin' Valentines and I can't stop . . .

When we were young, my mom would get out doilies, lace,
construction paper, stickers, ribbons--you know, the
good stuff--and let us have at it to make Valentines.

Well, I may be the mom now, but that doesn't mean I
can't still get out the good stuff and make some
Valentines, right?

I want to be able to actually mail these, so they're minus
the bulkier embellishments that can be so beguiling . . .

This fine young fellow is Rose Boy from
Lost Coast Designs, available at Blockheads.

He's my favorite stamp du jour, as you can see.

Isn't he a sweetie?

And offering up those roses, he's perfect for
Valentine's Day!

These two are for Word Art Wednesday--every week they
post a verse or inspirational quote you can use in your
art for a challenge (it doesn't have to be a card).

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go make some more
Valentines . . .

:)

Oooooh, look, challenges!
Artistic Stampers--hearts
Crafty Ann's--love is in the air
Crafty Catz--pink and white

  1. Ooh, I've made a card with him that I haven't blogged yet - he's one of my fave images. Lovely stuff. We don't send Valentines in the UK, other than to our one special love, so it seems weird to me to be making so many, lol. That's what I love about Blogland - seeing the differences in cultures.

  2. Really? We send them to relatives, give them to our children, to friends--anyone we love, so it's not just a romantic thing!

  11. Wow so many cards!!! I'm in Australia and it's the same as what Cath said - you would only give a valentine to your "partner/spouse" so I really don't make many Valentine things either!! But I love looking at what everyone makes!!! Love all your cards - they are amazing!!
